Patty Carey has been with Northcott since 1986, filling many roles in the Marketing department and is currently Vice President – Public Relations. She began quilting in 1987 when Northcott made the transition from fashion to quilting fabric. She has been designing quilts for Northcott and for numerous quilting magazines since 1995. She was also a regular contributor to The Quilter magazine, Love of Quilting and Easy Quilts and continues to contribute to the F & W group of publications including McCall’s Quilting and Quiltmaker. Several of these projects have been cover quilts and best-sellers. In 2008, Patti started publishing a comprehensive line of quilt patterns that utilize efficient and time-saving techniques. She specializes in designing quilts using panels and border stripes. Recently, she has begun designing fabric as well and her first collection, Vino, designed for Northcott’s Banyan Batiks division, was released in November 2019.
