Marcello Corti creates fantastic yuletide designs and atmospheric festive scenes which make him a hugely popular illustrator. In particular, his Santa Claus illustrations are in very high demand.

Marcello Corti was born in 1961 in Bergamo, a beautiful medieval town in northern Italy known for being the home to artists including Caravaggio. He descended from a family of artists, painters, sculptors and poets. He was instructed in the art of drawing and painting by his uncle, painter Tullio Petteni, who also nurtured his passion for photography which was his main profession for about 30 years.
He has always worked with images as a photographer, graphic designer, illustrator, combining experiences in various fields from paper, pagination, to advertising and design. In 1988, he discovered computer graphics. To be more independent and spend more time with his family, illustration became his main job. He creates his work on a trusty tablet with Photoshop and a series of brushes that he created to simulate the various techniques such as watercolor, oil, pencil and charcoal.
“I am happy that I can continue to make works of art as my ancestors did, even with the use of modern means.”
